The merger agreement has you represented, on the new board, with 6 members from CFE and 3 from EFBC. Jim Garvey, Jim Orr and Duane Smuts will be strong voices representing your interests on the new board. Watch for the information about the annual meeting probably in April. Most concerns I believe you have are more about operations rather than governance.
I have been offered and have accepted a position with CFE as the manager of the locations of Charlotte, Mason, Leslie, and Richland. If you want to talk I am available. 517.543.1160 or 517.282.1924(cell)
All departments will remain open. Continue to do business as you have in the past. Contact the people you know at your local store. The agronomy service, feed service, petroleum / tire service will continue to be dispatched out of Charlotte.
All employees will be retained. Our first meeting with employees about their employment package will be January 12. Some employees are using this time to make personal changes. We have had 4 employees take different jobs: two feed drivers, an agronomy driver, and the tire department manager. New employees will be hired to fill these roles. We will begin taking applications after posting them internally.
This is a time of great change, but with change also comes opportunity. It will take some time to get everything up to speed. Please be patient. If you have questions call me, I will get you an answer. Larry Crouch
